Meeting Kazumi

kyousuke-sakura:

Kyousuke had quite some time before he had to meet an old family friend so he was wandering around the city taking in the sights. “Lets see, I’ve got four hours till I have to meet Tachibana…What should I do?”

It had been quite some time since Kazumi had been able to actually visit Asunaro and most assuredly far too long since she had paid the Misaki household a visit to see her precious sisters. It was a venture that she knew she would have to make a visit and see everyone. She would give herself a bit off an assuring nod to do as she stepped off onto the train platform and collected herself and began to head off toward her original home. She could not help but feel bombarded by curiosities on how Umika and Kaoru were faring and how Satomi was as last time she recalled her once more beginning to have some slippage in her self-control.

The mere thought would cause her tiny frame to tense up as she neared the crossing intersection that would lead her toward the Saints’ home. Of course it’d be a bit yet before reaching the right neighborhood. While the station was within walking distance it still was a decent jaunt to get to and from either way. She would throw a few glances about while entering the shopping district and it looked like as if nothing had changed since moving away. Most of the old stores and shops seemed to be in tact and running as always. Sure there seemed to be a few new ones here and there but all the ones that really seemed to matter to her still remained open as always.

With that she would look up ahead about a block and instantly she would recognize one establishment in particular. With little to no thought Kazumi would race across the cross walk at the upcoming intersection and b-line for the door, only to find it locked. Almost breathless she would take a moment to recompose herself before lifting her head up and looking up and realizing the door was locked and the sign flipped to closed. “Well… that’s weird… Tachibana-san almost never closes shop… hmm… maybe he went to go get something ….? Hm?” with that she would take note of a redheaded young man who was likely slightly older than she was and would approach him and waving her hand to get his attention as she spoke. “Excuse me! uhm! Pardon me but do you know where the shop’s owner is…? I’m a friend of his see and I wanted to see him since it’s been a while!”

That Sinking Feeling

Kazumi would tentatively glance around the entryway of the livingroom in search of any sign of her precious girlfriend as it was oddly quiet even for this time of day and with that a touch disconcerting for the petite magi. Mercifully she would overhear the calm and lilting voice coming from not too far away on the couch. She would feel relief wash over her as she bounded over to her side with her usual energy and upbeat attitude. “Aha there you are! I was wondering where you were since it was so quiet in here. Usually you’re up to something by this time..~” she would chuckle a little and scoot herself up next to Mami and sit next to her and very gently lean her head on her shoulder as she glanced upward at her. “Ohhh well that’s never too good. I hope I didn’t wake you up at all if you were sleeping! As for me …”

She would touch the tip of her index finger to her lip and glance up in thought as she attempted to recall anything of remote significance to expand on from her voyage out to get food. “Mnn….”  She would let out a bit of a sigh before shaking her head in an impassive fashion. “I really can’t think of anything really meaningful past going out and getting food restocked to make dinner later on. With school out I haven’t really gotten to see any of our friends as of late so I don’t have as many interesting stories to report..”

image

Kazumi would once more heave a bit of a sigh, but would immediately perk up at the mention of tea time and would immediately feel a smile encroaching little by little. Though she would furrow her brow some at the sudden volley of requests including to make the tea as well. Usually Mami would make the tea rain, sleet or sunshine. Her lips would tug slightly downward as she shifted about in her seat before giving a delayed nod. “W-well sure Maa-chan. If you’re really that tired I don’t mind …” she would lean in and quickly peck her on the cheek before standing up and walking toward the kitchen with the heavy feeling that something was amiss weighing down on her chest as she began to prep the teapot and fill it with hot water.  ”We still have plenty of that peppermint tea leftover from the holidays if that would work well enough!”

Mami spotted the furrowing of Kazumi’s brow and started to worry slightly. She didn’t want to have to disclose to her girlfriend what had transpired between herself and Sayaka while she was out. It wasn’t any of Kazumi’s business at all and the prospect of explaining what happened frightened Mami because she’d have to dwell on and think more about what Sayaka had done.

image

"Oh? Peppermint? That’s perfectly fine, Kazumiin! I trust you to do a great job~ You watch me do it so much after all!" Mami tried to play it off as something that would be rather simple, but she knew how much it probably worried Kazumi. Even when her arm had been injured by Ophelia, Mami still tried to make tea for the both of them ever day. She knew this was out of place but was trying to play it off as best as she could. "I just am really tired, Kazumiin. I apologize on my own behalf… paperwork was just really exhausting today. I don’t know what came over me… Perhaps I’m developing a cold…?" She tried to pass blame over to something else as she scooted down from the couch to the familiar triangular glass table, arranging things so that there would be a clear place for the two of them to have your tea. "Either way… Thank you very much for doing this for me Kazumiin… I really do appreciate it. Perhaps we can have cuddles later…?"

"Alright peppermint it is Mami. If you say so though, I mean usually you do this and it turns out usually better than most of the nearby tea shops can muster.." Kazumi would allow her voice to trail off and in doing so vocalize some of the concern that she was having with Mami passing up on making tea. Usually she would sooner fight tooth and nail and even against injuries sustained from her very one sided scuffle from Ophelia. It just seemed so out of her character to do so that she could not dispel the nagging notion that something else was amiss and had something to do with it.

She would reach over and grab the peppermint teabags and set them into the pot to steep as the water boiled. She would reach an arm up and wipe her brow after heaving a bit of a sigh. While prepping tea was virtually a no brain issue, it was still one of those things she felt out of her element of doing. Kazumi would then turn around to face Mami from the kitchen and once more her word choice bothered her since it seemed like it was one thing on top of another. “Well you don’t look like you’re developing much of a cold Maa-chan.. you honestly look quite fine from over here…” she’d then throw her a bit of a cautious glance before retrieving the pot and would walk it over and set it on a pad specific for it as to not damage the glass table.

"Yeah it’s no problem Mami.. you know that…." once more she would suspect something being amiss but would dismiss it as she quickly went to retrieve two tea cups and saucers  for them both and would set them gently on the table and would kneel down and began serving them both. "Sure Maa-chan we can cuddle later … but .. tell me… now.. I could be wrong … but if you were suffering from a cold … you tend to often times be bedridden … is something else the matter…?"

That Sinking Feeling

guardianwitch:

It had been just like any other day as Kazumi had headed out to do errands earlier on during the day. With a bag of groceries in hand she would have a bit of a small sigh as she began traversing up her usual path. It had been an exhausting period trying to keep up with the usual hectic schedule that came from having Christmas and the new year encroaching over so quickly on the horizon. She would gaze upward at the sky and heave yet another sigh as she reflected on the year past and on how much things have changed.

It was astounding to the petite girl that it had been well over a year now that the worst chapters of her life were behind her since finding Mami. Even with the hardships they’ve shared together it seemed like a drop in the bucket in comparison to the loneliness that she and her lover had undergone in the times where they had no one. Though she would not meditate too long on those times as she shook her head to try and dispel recalling the more darker points of her life and even the stressful point that had come where she nearly lost Mami that day she was invited into her flat was a bit too heavy to think about.

Thinking of the present and the future with her would ease her up some as the frosty nip of a cold chill would bring her back to reality and the realization that she was virtually home with only a few steps to escalate in the process. “Huh… I didn’t even notice that I had gotten so close to home.. I really shouldn’t space out so much  when I’m walking alone seeing as Mami’s warned me to be more aware of my surroundings when by myself… Eheh .. well not like she can tell.. or I have to tell her~ Otherwise I’d get scolded! Hmmmm I wonder if she’s still doing paperwork … well… only one way to find out!”

image

She would happily chirp aloud as she reached into the pocket of her dress and and used it to unlock the door. She would quickly walk inside with a bit of a shiver before closing the door and warming herself up. She would scan around the living room for any signs of Mami before setting the bag down beside her and calling out to her. “Maa-chan… Maa-chan I’m home! Are you still here Mami…?”

Immediately after Sayaka had left, Mami had to lay down or else her rage at the blunette that she was able to contain would erput out. With nobody around to calm her, that would have anything but a good result. She had dragged herself to the couch and lay there in a stunned silence. Still she was not fully able to grasp just how Sayaka could have done something so stupid. Stupid was the only word that Mami could think of as, or any synonym for it. Still though, she had had contained her anger towards Sayaka responsibly well and was continuing to try to do so. That was before she heard the door unlocking however.

She had to quickly put on a happy face for her girlfriend, taking several deep breaths in and out. Still though she lay there, listening carefully to the rustle of her bag being set down and her footsteps towards the living room where she lay. “Oh! Kazumiin! I’m just right over here,” She stated, infusing her usually cheeriness into her voice as she pulled herself up to a sitting position.  ”Sorry dear, I was laying down. I’m… a bit exhausted you could say. Sometimes paperwork gets rather exhausting… How was everything though? Anything to report?” She tried to take the attention off of herself so there was less suspicion for her behavior.

image

"I saved tea time until you were home, I hope that’s alright? You didn’t get something on the way home, right? O-Oh and.. I really do hate to be a bother, but do you think you could prepare the tea this time Kazumiin~? I really am rather tired and afraid I might drop something… I’m sure the tea will pick me right back up though!" She punctuated her statement, with a little giggle and a glance willing Kazumi towards the kitchen to start. "Whatever blend you want to do, alright~?"

Kazumi would tentatively glance around the entryway of the livingroom in search of any sign of her precious girlfriend as it was oddly quiet even for this time of day and with that a touch disconcerting for the petite magi. — Unpredictable Threats

brokenblueknight:

guardianwitch:

Kazumi could not help but be taken aback by Sayaka’s abrupt behavior and recoil. She could only furrow her brow slightly and look a bit more than just confused by it. She could not help but ponder somewhere in the back of her mind if she had possibly terrified the girl worse than she had anticipated as she briefly reflected on the time where she went full out half witch on her so long ago. A frown would begin to tug at the corners of her lips as she folded her arms across her chest and let out a heavy sigh.

image

"Maa-chan …? You should know Maa-chan … Mami? She’s your friend after all right? Remember me now ..? I’m her girlfriend! Sure we met under less than favorable circumstances but I don’t see why you’re acting like we’ve never met.. I didn’t scare you that badly that time in Kyouko’s castle did I….?"her voice held a slight quiver behind it as she attempted to remain undaunted from the obvious agitation in Sayaka’s voice. Still she would try to put her literal best foot forward and try to convince her otherwise. "Sayaka you can tell me if so… it won’t hurt my feelings if I did.. I’m really sorry if I did.."

image

"Yeah, I know Mami. But I don’t know your Mami. Like I don’t know you.” What the hell was this girl’s problem? Why couldn’t she just take the answer and leave with it? No, instead Kazumi pushed on, so convinced that Sayaka was the Sayaka she knew. This was irritating.

"I don’t know you, I don’t know what ‘Kyoko’s Castle’ is, you’ve never scared me—now leave me the fuck alone already.” She said in a harsher tone, scowling. “I might as well make you if you don’t stop bugging me. I’m not exactly against the idea of beating the shit out of an annoying stranger, I’ll have you know.”

"What do you mean by you don’t know my Mami Miki-san…? I know I have seen you at our home before…” Her voice would trail as her brow would furrow in confusion. This made no sense to her and while very much aware of the time divergences that were about she was more often than not unable to tell the differences between one from another. Especially when she’s undergone so many different relations ranging on positive to extremely vitriolic.

She would absently nibble on the skin of her thumb as everything Sayaka was saying had been contradicting what Kazumi herself knew to be true. Her voice would hitch slightly as she further sounded unsure of her own assertions, but despite that would still would take a few cautious steps forward toward the blue haired girl. “H-how do you not remember that…? Don’t you remember anything about when she ruled over everyone and what came of it…?” she’d momentarily flinch at Sayaka’s voice growing increasingly more irritated and further getting more violent with actually threatening her.

This would cause Kazumi to close the distance between the two to be nearly nose to nose, her own voice beginning to get more abrasive. “Just what has gotten into you Miki-san!? I know we got off on the wrong foot but there’s no reason to threaten to hurt me! What in the hell is your problem anyways?! If you don’t forgive me from back then you can just say so already instead of being so petty about it!”

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

mamisfinale:

guardianwitch:

In all honesty Kazumi was taken aback by such a direct and serious question seeing as Mami tended to veer toward lighthearted conversations. Even if the spritely girl were to have an incubator before her she could still not answer truthfully if she qualified for a wish or not. As she peered into the honey colored eyes of her beloved she could tell this was something that had troubled her to some degree for one reason or another and would quietly fret the severity given how somber her entire disposition had become.

Even with her admission for such a simple and largely ineffective wish out in the open and the air somewhat unreadable for herself, Kazumi would find herself gently nuzzling up against Mami’s chest as she was snugly brought in close by her. Her eyes shifted upward to look at her and still it bothered her that there seemed to be something resembling something between a scowl and a disheartened frown. Though she would ease up from having her head patted and feel a warmth radiate from her cheeks as she was spoken to in such a lilting tone of voice. She could only chuckle in shyness as she was kissed atop her forehead after being lightly tapped upon the tip of her nose.

image

"I know Maa-chan just …. sometimes I look back and I’m reminded that I’m even less human than any other magical girl we know… but you help me realize every time that I’m wrong on that… Though is it bad my wish is so simple…" her mouth would open up to ask about being trouble for her, but would immediately shut upon being tightly embraced and being given such a smile that its warmth could only be matched by the sun its self.  "O—oh okay … well … I’ll try to remember that since you’re so sure that I’m not a burden of any kind to you. Thanks for reminding me Mami, I really do love you ya know?  Though … I wonder … if I could contract Mami do you think that I should..?"

Seeing Kazumi feel so down on herself brough a tinge of sadness to Mami. She couldn’t have wished for as perfect of a girlfriend as her Kazumiin was to her and here she was thinking that she was just a burden to Mami. That wouldn’t do at all. Mami couldn’t have that for the most precious girl in her life. Holding her close, the blonde nuzzled into her girlfriend’s neck to plant a kiss right on the side of it. She let out a small giggle, trying to give Kazumi a bit of a momentary distraction from tinking about contracting. “Contracting… I do really despise it… but…”

image

Closing her eyes in thought, Mami removed an arm from around Kazumi to rest it against the side of her head. “You already are a magical girl… in a way I suppose…” her voice would take a sturdy and slow tone, enunciating every word carefully. “You haven’t made a wish… so it is possible that you could contract… however…” Drawing in a deep breath, Mami sat up against the headboard of the bed, relinquishing her hold on Kazumi. “I do not trust Kyubey… or any incubator… We do not even know if you can wish to be a normal girl… and even if you could, I’m sure that there is some way that white little rat would twist it around… I don’t want you to get hurt when you’re already fine how you are… B-But… I wouldn’t be angry if you did do it… not at all…” Realizing how fretful she was getting, Mami’s face turned red. “A-Ahh… Sorry Kazumiin… I’m just worried.”

Being far removed from being being normal, even by magical girl standards had become so ingrained into Kazumi that she could not help but think herself lower than most despite her own acceptance of herself. Even after so long and feeling like she was the catalyst of many of the things that had gone wrong in Mami’s life she would still find herself astounded how such a kindhearted girl could even stand her, let alone love her back in the way she had. Somehow Mami always managed to make her feel special, loved and most important of all; normal. She would unintentionally squirm and giggle as she felt her girlfriends’ lips upon her neck. “Ehehe … Maa-cha-hhan~ Stoooooop~ That tickles!”

It was a welcome sensation as it seemed the conversation would move back into being a bit more serious as Mami appeared to be in thought. Kazumi would shift her head slightly to the side to try and ascertain what Mami would say, even slumping over to the side to rest her head on her shoulder. Her eyes would flutter a couple of times and give a slight nod in agreement with her. She had a feeling Mami might not wholly support the idea, but she did not seem to be too adversely against it either. She would slightly exhale through her nostrils before picking her words and speaking. “I haven’t and it is true I am kind of a magical girl and yet I’m not one at all… so it’s something I’ve wondered about for a while now.. And I know you don’t trust Kyubey at all… to be honest I don’t know what I could expect if I even was allowed to form my own contract. But … if I ever did.. I’m glad you wouldn’t be angry with me..”

She would tilt her head up just a little bit and lean in to press her lips up against her beloved’s cheek  and wrap her arms around her waist. “It’s just like Maa-chan to worry about me… but I don’t think anything too terrible would happen if I did. I know no matter what I’ll always be your Kazumi no matter what I become…” one of her arms would loosen around her and begin to gently pet her head. “You’ve seen every side of me there is to see… both good and bad and you still never have abandoned me… so wish or not … I could never abandon my precious someone…After all.. you saved my life that day as well you know..”

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

Kazumi would furrow her brow upon taking in what Mami would have to say. Surely she could not argue the valid point that she would not lie about such things and always said what she meant provided she was not in one of her panicked states that she so seldom would slip into anymore. Despite the authoritative punctuation she would give up further resistance and would nestle herself on up against her beloved with only a slight tentative pause to look up into her eyes with a bit of a meek smile playing across her lips. “I can’t really argue with that Maa-chan, you’re usually very honest and always tell the truth when it comes to things like this.”

She would gently press her back up against Mami’s chest after letting her have a moment to adjust herself to allow her girlfriend to get more comfortable. The shorter of the two magi would lean up and gently place a kiss along the jawline of her girlfriend lay her hands atop her lap before Mami resumed speaking. In between she’d heave a small sigh as her hands would fall to her sides and would crane her neck around at an angle so as she spoke their eyes would meet. “I know she’s not Maa-chan and .. it really doesn’t matter what she thinks either and…” before she could even proceed she was silenced by  an abrupt hushing by Mami holding her finger up.

image

The sudden change of topic coupled with the sudden snuggling would catch her off guard, but would happily entertain her question after a brief moment of shutting her eyes long enough to comprise a proper answer. “Well … I really can’t dispute that I technically never got a wish.. I’m not even sure if I do get one since I’m just a clone of her that’s lived the longest, but … if I could have a wish..? Mmnn … as ineffective as it might be.. I’d wish to be a normal girl. That way I wouldn’t cause you or my family any concerns given what I am part of y’know?”

It made Mami nervous to ask such a serious question, but it was something that had been wearing on her for the longest time. She knew that Kazumi didn’t get a wish… but then again in a way neither did herself. Mami had to make her wish out of necessity, and she still regretted not taking the time to think it though to get something worthwhile from such a life-changing decision… Or at least she could have had her mother and father to help her deal with it.

image

Snuggled up close, Mami listened attentively to what Kazumi had to say about having a wish. It was interesting to her to see that her girlfriend had such a simple one, though it also hurt Mami that she didn’t think of herself as normal as well. She patted the top of Kazumi’d head with one hand and pulled her close with the other one as she began to speak in a soft tone. “Now… You aren’t just a clone. You are my Kazumiin and I’d have you no other way. Though… Such a simple wish… I expected that~” Lightly tapping the tip of Kazumi’s nose and kissing her forehead, Mami would continue on, her voice trying to be as soothing and calming as she could. “You haven’t caused any problems for me, Kazumiin. Even if you think you have, it was no problem for me. You’re my little Kazumiin and nothing is a problem as long as I still get to snuggle up with you at the end of the day, alright?” For reassurance, Mami gave her girlfriend a tight squeeze and flashed a smile her way.

In all honesty Kazumi was taken aback by such a direct and serious question seeing as Mami tended to veer toward lighthearted conversations. Even if the spritely girl were to have an incubator before her she could still not answer truthfully if she qualified for a wish or not. Catching Up To Do ~Reprise~

melodiamjustitiae:

guardianwitch:

Immediately after the message was sent Kazumi would begin pacing around the couch anxiously as she awaited a response. A wave of anxiety would wash over her as she would frequently click the home button of her smart phone. She could feel her chest tighten with each passing step as she  continued to look at the phone.  She could only feel mild worry raise up into full on stress before resolving to just place the phone in her pocket and plopping herself down on the couch and began to monologue to herself. “I don’t know why I’m even worrying … it’s not like she would be so afraid of me that a little message would cause her to run right? .. Plus .. I mean… even if she doesn’t like me.. it’s not like she’d be able to leap through the phone or something…!”

Even with that self-mediated and one sided conversation she could nnot help but remember just how scared Sayaka was of her all that time ago. It was enough for her to sink further into the couch as she reflected on how she’s never really had much luck in the way of getting to know the blunette magi. They always either wanted to kill her or were afraid of her after seeing what she was and it would cause her to sigh slightly. “I just really wish that things could go right this time …” And almost as if on cue her phone would pulsate and chime simultaneously as a new message was received, prompting her to immediately whip her phone out and read over the message

image

"Huh…? She seems really calm about it…. Maybe she was just having an off day that one time… Maybe I really don’t scare her! This is great! I’ll be sure to whip up something nice for us to eat!" With that thought out she would immediately begin to immediately and haphazardly respond with frightful speed to accentuate her excitement as a few typos here and there were made.

>That sounds grat Sayaka-san!  Ill get things prepaird for your arrival! Oh I’m sure I dno’t need to give you direction to Ma-chn’s home, so instad i s theer antyhing youd like me tofix?

And just like that with no proof reading she would excitedly hit the send button and scuttle on off to the kitchen to begin preparing her kitchen utensils in anticipation for any special requests made by her soon-to-be guest.

image

Seeing the response sent back to her, Sayaka stopped what she was doing. She had been getting ready to go. Judging by the tone of the message, Kazumi really wanted to meet back up again, which told Sayaka she could just go ahead and get herself dressed and ready to go even while she waited for the reply back to her acceptance of the invitation to Mami’s home to see Kazumi.

Judging by the typos, it was rushed. She chuckled a little bit, rubbing the back of her head.

» Nothing in particular…surprise me? I hear you’re a good cook, so I’m sure whatever’s fine. I’m gonna finish getting ready, and then head down there later. Is there anything you’d like me to bring, though?

She sent back, shutting her phone after. Not that she truly knew a lot about Kazumi. But she did hear that much. If not from Yuuri, from Mami. She didn’t mind the idea of a surprise meal or something. She wasn’t sure what Kazumi could cook, after all. I’m surrounded by good cooks…She thought with a bit of comically dismiss tone.

While completely anxious Kazumi could not help but find herself elated that at the very least she could tell from the tone of the texts was that Sayaka was both receptive and did not seem to be afraid. She would set her phone aside on the kitchen counter and begin readying the pots and pans and turning on both the oven and stove to both preheat depending. With that she would begin bundling the silverware together and setting those to the side one set on each end of the dining table. She would find herself happily humming to herself and less obsessed with the response she would get than she was preciously as she certainly held a jaunty skip to her step as she maneuvered between the kitchen and dining room table.

Of course her attention to preparation would  be broken by her phone once more going off to herald a new message. With a bit of a swerve in a spin she would grab the phone and carefully read it over. Unfortunately no specific requests given, but that was okay since she knew more than plenty of dishes thanks large and due part to her learnings from her original life as Michiru and her Grandmother teaching her how to cook. The first thing to jump to her mind was an Italian dish that seemed to at least be a hit with her sisters back when she lived in Asunaro with the others.

First things would have to come first as she knew she could not keep such a timed matter up in the air. Quickly she would begin to type away her corresponding message to Sayaka after a brief pause for thought given her inquiry.  A certain ‘aha’ would be had and vocalized as she immediately had an idea of what her guest could bring over.

» No worries there! I think I have a great idea of what to fix! Just if you could bring by some fresh bread if you could? I think a side of garlic bread is just the thing to go with what I have in mind! Take all the time you need to get ready, this is going to take a little bit of preparation on my part anyways! I’ll see you soon Sayaka!

With that out of the way she would reach over to the side and tie her apron on and slide her phone into one of its pockets and scanned about for what she would need to pull out for her dish. She’d muse for a moment to make sure everything she needed was there and thankfully it was since she had been wanting to make this for some time now.

"Aha! There you are. Lets see … fresh eggplants … onion …tomatos …garlic …mozzarella …Ahh!  I think that’s all that’s needed from here…." With items retrieved she would inch the door shut with a bit of aid from her hip as her hands were full and soon would grab the other assorted spices and tools needed to make lunch.

— Unpredictable Threats

"But.. I know your face anywhere Miki-san! You’re the only Sayaka I know after all." She would meekly protest as she was still taken aback by how coolly Sayaka had been toward her. It was a most disconcerting thing, but not to be deterred she would take a step forward and reach out to softly grab her by the hand and look back at her deep in her eyes in hopes that she would recognize her and had forgiven her for their previous encounter.

She would quirk her head to the side ever so slightly to convey her confusion. She knew well enough that something was not lining up in how she was speaking to her, but still she could not differentiate the differences in alternate and divergent timelines. “Well we’ve met more times than just once! Plus you used to visit Maa-chan all the time before Sakura and I had our fight …” her would press her lips together unsure what to really say here past that either Sayaka had simply not recognized her or was choosing to ignore their prior meetings and opt to keep her at an arms length. “Are you alright …? Did I really upset you that much that one time..? I mean I know after that one time when you were serving Kyouko I looked really scary, but really if it weren’t for Maa-chan being involved I would never go that far!”

Sayaka flinched, immediately jerking her hands back when Kazumi tried to take them. No, touching her without permission didn’t fly. Especially not from someone that she didn’t know. Despite Kazumi’s insistence they did indeed know each other. But Sayaka knew she didn’t know this girl.

"Who the hell is Maa-chan? Look, I don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about. I’m telling you, I don’t know who you are. Get it through your apparently thick skull already.” She said, tone a bit harsh, but she was getting annoyed. Sayaka didn’t really do much to reign in her words when she was agitated at someone. Especially when that someone was being so persistent about something that wasn’t true.

Catching Up To Do ~Reprise~

Months had gone by and much had changed as much as nothing had changed. Despite how much time had gone by the occasional thoughts about Kyouko and Sayaka would occasionally prod at Kazumi’s idle mind with and without Mami around. It would be once and a great while  given how both encounters shared with each girl had been less than amiable or ideal. Though she knew eventually something needed to change and she knew who to start with, though it would be a bit awkward given how much time had elapsed but on the brighter side of things at least time heals most wounds right?

At least that’s what the pixie-like girl would tell herself as she would pick up her cell phone and thumb through her rather small contacts list. It would mostly consist of the Pleiades Saints, Mami and Yuuri save for one in particular as the name ‘Miki Sayaka’ would come into view.  She would pause and look at the screen idly as she reflected upon the last time they crossed paths she had looked less than well and severely disturbed before absconding far away enough for Kazumi to be unable to outwardly locate. She knew staring at the information would yield nothing and thus she would tap ‘message’ and begin typing away in hopes at least this link was salvageable

>Hey Sayaka, it’s me Kazumi. It sure has been a while huh? How have you been? I know this is sudden, but I was wondering if you’d like to possibly come over and catch up maybe?

It was so awkwardly phrased but it was the best she could muster given prior circumstances and how long it had been. With a deep sigh and shutting her eyes firmly shut she would hit the send button and wait for come what may.

Sayaka yawned, turning over in her bed. One of the few days she chose to just laze around in it, considering she didn’t have the mind to do much else. She was too stressed to focus though, which resulted in well…just this.

"Oh?" She reached over, checking out the phone that was rarely even used lately. The messenger though, was a surprise to her. Kazumi. Sayaka hadn’t said a word to the small girl since…well, since a long while ago. In fact that was when…she’d been suffering nightmares, right? Right…the last impression Kazumi was left with was of Sayaka running off terrified. That was…that was pretty bad.

So she was surprised to see the invitation now. Regardless, she opened up a reply and began composing a response.

» Hey, long time, no talk. Ah, yeah it is kinda sudden, but it’s not like I really have any plans right now…so sure. I wouldn’t mind coming on over. How’s maybe an hour sound? If so, I’ll go ahead and get ready now and head on over there.

She pressed send and put the phone down, before swinging herself to the edge of the bed and getting up slowly. Really, just about anything would be better than simply laying here all day. Including speaking to Kazumi about a few things. Better yet when they were completely unrelated to any current stressors she was putting up with now.
